LUUM created a robot that can apply eyelash extensions to humans. To speed up the process of custom eyelash extensions, a professional lash artist works with a machine. The process starts with cleaning the lashes and placing barcoded patches on the under-eyes and eyelids for the machine to read. A robot then isolates each lash, applies glue to the extensions, and attaches them. If the client touches the robotic hand, it detaches easily.
