Decatur city leaders approved $19,000 in funding for this year’s 4th of July Spirit of America fireworks display, marking the 60th anniversary of one of the city’s biggest annual events.

The event will feature a game show format similar to "The Price is Right," and the funds will help give local teachers the necessary supplies for the classroom.
